As we begin 2026, we are pleased to welcome the new leadership team for the Washington Roundtable board, bringing deep experience across healthcare, finance, and energy, and a shared commitment to Washington’s long-term economic strength:
– Jeff Roe, CEO & President, Premera Blue Cross, will serve as Chair, contributing his strategic vision and commitment to addressing Washington’s workforce and economic challenges.
– Kerri Schroeder, Pacific Northwest Regional Chair & Region Manager – Middle Market Banking, JPMorganChase, steps into the role of Vice Chair, bringing more than 25 years of banking experience and deep expertise in regional leadership, governance, and community engagement.
– Mary Kipp, President & CEO, Puget Sound Energy, will serve as Secretary/Treasurer, offering her expertise and dedication to ensuring opportunity and prosperity for all Washingtonians.

Jeff Roe

Jeff Roe is the president and chief executive officer of Premera Blue Cross. Roe joined Premera in 1996 and has served in roles leading the company’s Employer and Individual market segments. He became president in January 2014.
His leadership in insurance also includes positions as co-president of Safeco Insurance and chief marketing officer for Torrent Technologies. Roe started his career in the Washington, D.C., office of U.S. Senator Slade Gorton and later consulted as a member of The Gallatin Group, a public affairs firm.
Roe serves on the boards of the National Institute for Health Care Management, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, Washington Healthcare Forum (Vice Chair), University of Washington Foster School of Business, and the Visiting Committee of the University of Washington Economics Department.
At the University of Washington, Roe earned bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Political Science and a Master’s in Business Administration.
Kerri Schroeder
Pacific Northwest Regional Chair & Region Manager – Middle Market Banking

Kerri is the Pacific Northwest Regional Chair and Region Manager of the Middle Market banking group serving the Pacific Northwest. She joined JPMorganChase in January 2023 and brings over 25 years of banking experience.
As regional chair, Kerri provides oversight and governance to the market leadership teams across the Pacific Northwest and works with JPMorganChase teams to deliver the breadth of expertise of the firm locally to clients, employees, and the communities where they live and do business. She is responsible for aligning efforts to drive firmwide initiatives, including diversity, equity and inclusion, corporate responsibility, and community engagement.
In addition to her role as Regional Chair, Kerri leads a team of middle market banking professionals with disciplines in domestic and global treasury, credit products, liquidity management, investment banking, international trade, foreign exchange, and capital markets. Her team delivers comprehensive financial solutions and strategic guidance to companies across the Pacific Northwest.
Prior to joining JPMorganChase, she worked at Bank of America for 23 years in a variety of roles serving commercial clients. Most recently, she served as President of Bank of America Seattle, where she led the bank’s strategy across the greater Puget Sound region.
A first-generation Irish American originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Kerri has lived in the Seattle area for nearly 30 years and is an active member of the community. She currently serves on the board of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, where she served as board chair from 2021–2022; is board secretary of Evergreen Goodwill Industries; and serves on the boards of directors for the Washington Roundtable and Challenge Seattle. Kerri was recognized by Puget Sound Business Journal as a Woman of Influence in 2020 and as one of the Power 100 in 2019, 2020, and 2022.
Kerri holds a B.A. in Economics from Pacific Lutheran University. She lives in Sammamish, Washington, with her husband Ken and their four sons. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and travel and is an avid downhill skier.
Mary Kipp

Mary E. Kipp serves as president and CEO of Puget Sound Energy. Under Mary’s leadership, PSE is undergoing the most significant transformation in its history, striving to meet Washington state’s clean energy laws — some of the most ambitious in the nation — while meeting customer expectations for the safe and reliable delivery of energy.
Before joining PSE, Mary served as CEO of El Paso Electric (EPE) since 2015 and president since 2014. During her tenure at EPE, which began in 2007, she held leadership roles throughout the company, including as general counsel, in regulatory and rates, risk management, human resources, external affairs, customer care, environmental and safety.
Prior to EPE, Mary was a prosecuting attorney for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission for four years, investigating and prosecuting violations of federal energy laws. Mary also worked as a lawyer at El Paso Natural Gas Company and at Greenberg Traurig, LLP.
Mary is a member of the Board of Directors and the Sustainability and Audit Committees of Boston Properties. She is also a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Hawaiian Electric Company. She serves on the Williams College Board of Trustees and is a founding member of Technosylva’s Customer Advisory Board. She co-chairs the Edison Electric Institute’s CEO Wildfire Task Force and is past co-chair of its Institute for Electric Innovation. Mary is a past Deputy Chair of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, former chair of Smart Electric Power Alliance and former vice chair of the Board of Directors of the Alliance to Save Energy.
Mary earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Williams College, a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law, and is an alumnus of Exeter College, Oxford University.
